Spur-of-the-Moment Holiday Shopping

After having our outreach program activity at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology yesterday, Mom and I had an instant trip to a nearby shopping mall. We thought it was our only chance to shop for the kids’ Christmas party dresses since soon is going to be a party week already and for sure the malls will be packed with last minute shoppers come weekends.

There are six of them (all my nieces and one nephew) that we shopped for. And other than dresses, we also got them gift items they can give to their “manitos” and “manitas” in a week time. While strolling around, I had a glance at a really nice banjo. After having my own guitar, I thought it is something I want to learn playing next but if course I need to look the beginner banjo first – it’s a buying guide.

So, when we got home around eight last night, they are all surprised because they thought they will have to wait a few more days to shop for their dresses. Mom and I are glad looking at them happily fitting their new party outfits. I’m sure they’ll all be excited to come home from school later today to wrap their gifts.
