The Only Rose Among the Thorns

A serious undertaking doesn’t have to be how it is meant to be all through out, if it’s done by us. There will always be a touch of fun added to it in one way or another just like the Teachers’ Annual Retreat that we have had.

Where we were housed is a supposed place for contemplation and absolute silence. Everyone you see around seems to work in silence and only speak when they need to. No marshall dsl100h to see around. All you hear is that soft music playing on the background while on recess or activity.

Though we were trying to behave the way they do and as instructed, there were just a few times that we get overboard unconsciously. Going for a quick walk and posing for a picture like this for one – a typical thing any stranger would do when in a new place for the first time.

I would have not presented to be in the picture along with these gentlemen if not for the big, blue umbrellas.  You see… this “the only rose among the thorns” pic is something that’s worth reminiscing. I wonder how the other guests behave while in the monastery other than listening to an input, praying and hearing a mass with the monks.

As for our group, we knew we were making a good memory to recall to out of our 3-day stay at the Benedictine Monastery.
